Wayne is a self-described “determined knowledge-seeker”. Growing up as a computer fanatic and veracious reader in a resource-scarce Malaysian town, Wayne had to work part-time as a choir pianist to finance his dial-up subscription and fortnightly book-shopping sprees. Developing a queer interest in operating systems, he co-founded an online Windows help site. By the time the site was featured in top computer magazines, Wayne has already packed his bags and on his way to pursue a scholarship in Singapore.
The short detour gave him time to pursue his other interests in music and outdoor sports. It wasn’t until his stint in the United States when he finally returned to his true calling in online product and business development. Coming on board to ride the waves with Techsailor as the Business Development Director wasn’t too hard a decision.
Wayne is passionate about building something that would have a global impact. An avid Christian, Wayne is used to putting his faith on things unseen. A believer in social justice, Wayne reckons that social media is one of the ways to bring attention and assistance to the less fortunate, and Techsailor will help make that happen.
When he’s not on caffeine, Wayne gets his adrenaline boost from outdoor sports, fast vehicles and loud music. Aside from lamenting about the fact that Amazon doesn’t ship books to Singapore for free, Wayne pretty much has most of his life covered at the moment.
I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do. - Leonardo da Vinci
